Many of us have been working from home long enough to find a rhythm. But, if you’re still struggling to manage the transition from the office to the dining room workspace, then we’re here to help. In this next video blog, you will hear three tips for making your home a healthy haven. LaRachelle Smith comes back from the Table SALT Group for a brief chat you don’t want to miss.
Tip 1: Structure your physical space so it becomes your happy place.
The boundaries between home and office have been blurred in this movement toward everyone working together at home. Where you eat, sleep, play, and work are all in under the same roof. It’s important to create a space where you can create positive memories in the midst of these challenging times.
Tip 2: Schedule your work with intention so everyone’s projects are valued.
This is a time in history that serves as an opportunity. We should be intentional in how we engage our family members with purposeful activity. Our children are observing us in a way that we’re not accustomed to and so, we want to create memories for them where they feel valued, while valuing the work that is required of us.
Tip 3: Be mindful about your nutritional needs.
Plan your meals throughout the day. Have nutritious options close by the desk. Our immune systems are strained under stress so it is important to drink water and snack on healthy options. In the long run, it will make you less irritable, more productive, and keep you from being susceptible to stress and illness.
